The forty first update to JXInsight 5.7 has been published. This update includes an extremely useful enhancement to the probes hotspot metering strategy that allows named probe hotspot analysis to be re-used (imported & exported) across multiple execution runs of a Java application with instrumentation associated with non-hotspots disabled prior to the first probe firing (measured execution).
With each repeated execution of a Java application being profiled the dynamic hotspot metering strategy will automatically refine its list of possible performance hotspots as the degree of enabled instrumentation & measurement is continuously reduced enabling JXInsight to uniquely detect hotspots at the level of single digit μsecs (when used with a high resolution time based meter).
