The thirty eight update to JXInsight 5.7 has been published. A new probes resource meter, clock.adj.time, has been added that can be used to exclude elapsed time during gc activity, thread monitor waiting, or thread monitor blocking.
Note: Each exclusion is optional and can be enabled (or disabled) via a system property.
In addition the marking of the metering model can now be configured (via a system property) to be done automatically at fixed intervals from within the runtime itself ensuring operations staff can very quickly determine recent resource/performance metering activity that might be related to an incident reported or alert raised once connected from within the management console.
Other changes in this release include new String(Buffer|Builder) probe counter extensions related to replacement operations and misc performance improvements in the updating of the metering model.
