JXInsight 5.7.26 Released

The twenty-sixth update to JXInsight 5.7 has been published. This release includes a significant performance enhancement to the probes runtime and related AspectJ extension libraries resulting in a large drop in the overhead incurred within non-hotspot instrumented methods (determined dynamically at runtime) down from 22-23 nanoseconds to 12-13 nanoseconds.

This cost reduction makes our innovative multi-resource metering (profiling) runtime now 50 to 1,300 times faster than offerings from Sun Microsystems in this regard.

We have also continued to extend our significant lead in pioneering new and innovative visualizations of software execution behavior with the introduction of a new graphical tree overlay to the billing table that seamlessly merges both the sequential and hierarchical execution aspects of metered software as well as being contextual to the users current focus (selection).

William has blogged on the problem this visualization targets showing an animated version of it.
